I will get a house full of kids over for the weekend, so what most important is to make sure there is enough treats available 🙂 Plus this keeps me as a favourite aunt in their books. Not that I purely swap them in sweets, but the odd time when they are over I wanna make them something nice.
For the base:
4 1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
225 g of butter
1 cup sugar
For the butterscotch:
115g of butter
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp golden syrup
1 can of condensed milk
For topping chocolate:
200g of chocolate
1 teaspoon of golden syrup
115 g of butter
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees (Celsius).
Line a 22 x 33cm baking dish with baking paper.
Mix the butter and sugar well. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together in a separate bowl. Add to dry ingredients to the butter sugar mixture..
Press the batter into the baking dish and bake for 15-18min.
Allow to cool well.
Combine butter, sugar, syrup and condensed milk in a pan.
Stir the mixture until the butter melts in a medium heat.
Raise the heat and let the mixture boil.
Lower the heat and stir constantly until thickened.
This will take approximately for 10 min. or a bit longer.
Pour the cooled caramel on the top of the base and let cool completely.
Melt the chocolate, syrup, and butter together and mix until smooth.
Pour the cooled chocolate very karemellin on top and let cool.
Cut in the serving size bites and enjoy!
These look so good thank you 🙂
